How to use

  1. Paste or type the student's submitted work into the text box below.
  2. Optionally, expand Student context to provide year group, ability, grammar level, or other details. You can also paste a sample of the student's previous work for style comparison.
  3. Click Analyse to run the AI detection.
  4. Review the result — the signal band, the two evidence axes (AI-style patterns vs concrete evidence), and the “what this means / what to do next” guidance below it.
  5. Treat it as one prompt to look closer, never as proof. Use it to guide a supportive conversation, and compare against work the student has produced in class.
  6. Click Clear to reset and analyse another piece of work.

  • One of the clearest indicators of AI use is a meaningful difference in writing style compared to work completed in class. Only you can make that comparison.
  • Shorter texts are harder to analyse reliably. The fewer words submitted, the less confident any result should be.
  • Highly capable students, non-native English speakers, and heavily edited work may trigger false positives. Lightly edited AI text may go undetected.
  • Text is sent to Google Gemini for analysis. There are data protection measures in place to ensure data stays within the Aspirations Academies Trust Google Cloud environment.
