This is an estimate, not a definitive judgement. Always use alongside your professional knowledge of the student and other evidence.

Before you begin

  • This tool provides an estimate, not definitive proof. It can produce both false positives and false negatives.
  • Results should be one piece of evidence alongside professional judgement — never the sole basis for an academic misconduct decision.
  • One of the clearest indicators of AI use is a meaningful difference in writing style compared to work completed in class. Only you can make that comparison.
  • Shorter texts are harder to analyse reliably. The fewer words submitted, the less confident any result should be.
  • Highly capable students, non-native English speakers, and heavily edited work may trigger false positives. Lightly edited AI text may go undetected.
  • Text is sent to Google Gemini for analysis. There are data protection measures in place to ensure data stays within the Aspirations Academies Trust Google Cloud environment.
  • Please note the IT Department may monitor usage of this tool. Please contact bdidov@aspirations-ms.org with any concerns.
